The County Council elections will take place on Thursday 1st May 2025.
We are now confident that we have what it takes to get a seat on the County Council.
That’s why we have set up the following campaign events over the next couple of months, which we invite you all to attend.

As we know, just 1 Green in the room can make a real difference in terms of asking the hard questions and calling people to account. Now, with the plans to abolish the Borough Council, it is more important than ever that we ensure Greens have a seat at the decision making table at a local council level.

Our Candidates
Scott Spencer
Local Borough Councillor Scott Spencer has been selected by the Green Party as their candidate for the up coming County Council Election. Scott is a current Borough Councillor for Gnosall and Woodseaves and works hard to improve things for people in the local area.
Scott has been a Borough Councillor since 2023, and has made a significant mark in the Council Chamber, proposing a motion improving local roads. He’s been helping many residents on issues that matter to them like flooding, planning, and potholes.
He said: “I’m really proud to have been selected as the candidate for this election, and I’m looking forward to supporting our community further.”
Jack Rose

Fellow councillor Emma Carter said:
“It has been great working with Jack since we were elected together to serve the community on the Borough Council. Jack brings enthusiasm, hard work, and a real care for the local area to his role putting the community first. Whether it is in the council chamber, where he has stood up for rural communities on river pollution, flooding, and roads. Jack takes his role seriously and takes time to make sure he is representing the needs of this varied community well.
When it comes to challenging the County Council on the issues you raise with us most, he is there fighting for the support needed to make a difference.
His hard work on potholes, including drafting the Roads Emergency declared by the Borough Council shows he cares about all the issues affecting the community and tries to make change where he can. This would be far easier as a member of the County Council where he can speak up for this wonderful community in the chamber as your County Councillor.
Each parish in our ward is different, and has different needs and Jack has listened, supported, and worked for the parishes, working for what matters to them and ensuring their voices are heard by the council.
His hard work, energy, support and genuine care for this whole community will make him a county councillor you can rely on all year round.“
