About me

I live in Castletown where I’m the Chair of Residents Association and also Chair of Friends of Victoria Park. I enjoy cycling, gardening (allotmenteer), pottery and playing the piano. I’m semi–retired. I’m active in U3A, Palestine support organisations, Sustainability Matters in Stafford and am the Secretary of Stafford and Stone Green Party.

Experience

As a Parish, County and Borough councillor I was Chair, then Cabinet member for Housing – strongly opposed the sell-off of council houses. Dealing with problems – full-time union officer for many years. Campaigned against the Bedroom Tax and for keeping our schools and education service as part of the local community and not privately owned. Chair of Stafford Housing Co-op and board member of Staffordshire Business Innovation Centre.

 

 

 

 

We also have a team of officers and committee members who run the local party and coordinate our activities.
